I know, I’ve been there before. I bet you’re trawling the web; desperately looking for gift ideas? It’s not always to know what people will like. Maybe you’re buying a present for a distant friend, or someone you don’t see that often. Perhaps you know this person well, but they’re just too difficult to buy for. Luckily, there are some generic birthday gifts that will suit most people. There’s no gift that applies to everyone, but here are a few tips that might get your brain rolling.
Sports
There’s so many great ideas for sports-related present. Don’t go buying an expensive ticket or lessons for someone you barely know, though. You’re going to need an inkling of an idea that this person actually enjoys sports. Try and find out their favourite type, and tailor the present accordingly. If all else is lost, why not try buying them a day-out experience? There are lots of ideas like these, such as driving a Subaru around a racetrack, or visiting a team’s sports arena. If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxed, buy them an overnight stay in a nice hotel. They’ll thank you for the chance to relax on their own for a bit, especially if they’re a parent or a workaholic.
At the end of the day, don’t worry too much. Friendship is about much more than buying presents for each other. As they say, it’s the thought that counts.
