A Guide To Planning A Romantic Break In The UK This Autumn

Whether you have an anniversary coming up or just fancy treating your partner to a weekend away, you might be wondering what the best option is. If your budget limits you to the UK, don’t let that stop you, as there are plenty of amazing things you can do.

To help you plan a fantastic romantic break in the UK, we thought we would share a few of our tips and ideas with you, here:

Choose somewhere that your partner will love

Whether it’s somewhere that they have always wanted to visit or a place that holds a special memory. Make sure to choose a location that your boyfriend will love.

Maybe the two of you went to Western Super Mare one time, and fell in love with it? Perhaps Cornwall holds special memories for you? Or maybe, Blackpool was where you had your first romantic getaway together?

Wherever you choose to go, make sure that it has special memories for the two of you. Or that it is somewhere that he has always wanted to go and visit with you.

Splurge on the hotel

Want to make the trip romantic? Of course you do – then make sure to choose the nicest hotel you can find. Okay, so it might cost an arm and a leg, but if you pick the perfect hotel room, your trip will be so much more romantic.

If you want to stay in a fancy hotel without the high price tag, don’t book until the last minute. You can find lots of amazing deals for posh hotels on sites like SecretEscapes and Wowcher, if you leave booking until the last minute.

Make it fun

As well as booking a nice hotel and choosing the perfect location, it’s important to make the trip fun. If you take the time to plan fun activities for while you are away, you will enjoy your trip that much more.

Whether this means booking tickets to a theme park – Thorpe Park is ideal if you’re staying near London, or going to the theatre, it’s up to you. If you live further north, Blackpool is the perfect destination for your trip.

It has its own theme park, and there are lots of shows in Blackpool as well. So you would have plenty of things to keep you occupied while you were there. While the weather might be a little chilly for a dip in the sea, you can wrap up in your favourite winter gear and go for a romantic walk instead.

Spend some one-on-one time together

While you are away, agree to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and spend some time focusing on each other. Whether this is for the entire trip or just for an hour or two while you have a couple’s massage, it’s up to you.

Just make sure that at some point on your trip you turn off your phones and relax together, without any distractions from the outside world. If you do this, your getaway will be a lot more romantic and enjoyable.

If you want to plan a fantastic getaway in the UK this Autumn, all you need to do is follow my tips, above.
